Intimate Waterfront Elopement At The Inn At Tabb’s Creek
The east coast of Virginia, along the Chesapeake Bay, is an absolute goldmine of gorgeous, secluded, waterfront outdoor wedding venues.
An Elopement Story
Alice and Nick, a pair of talented actors and positively charming people, chose to have their intimate elopement at the Inn at Tabb’s Creek, an adorable bed and breakfast in Port Haywood, Virginia.
The day was overcast and grey, but their wedding was anything but. From Nick’s tailored forest green suit to Alice’s killer oxblood heels and jewel-toned bouquet, their wedding ceremony was lush and colorful. Not to mention, a real tearjerker!
Their small collection of guests made up of just their closest friends and family congregated on the gorgeous back lawn of the Inn, just steps away from the Chesapeake Bay, for a quiet and emotion-filled ceremony, led by one of the couple’s very best friends.
Following the beautiful elopement ceremony, everyone gathered on the porch while Lori and Greg, the hosts at the Inn at Tabb’s Creek, put the finishing touches on the couple’s reception dinner – a fabulous low country boil, including a vegan version for us veggies in the group!
Spread out at picnic tables on the back lawn of the inn, Nick and Alice got to spend quality time with their guests and enjoy a meal together as the sun went down.
After sunset, once everyone had had their fill, the group gathered around the firepit at the edge of the bay to tell stories and exchange toasts. A perfect ending to a lovely, relaxed, and perfectly intimate wedding day.
